The Casting Couch enjoyed a record Autumn/ Winter in 2008 with an abundance of filming, castings, wardrobe fittings, photo shoots, PR launches & company away days in its multi functional venue based on Fitzwilliam Square.
The Casting Couch was set up in late 2006 as a centrally based multifunctional venue catering to the needs of the film and television industry. Shoots and production companies to recently to use the space included: Sideline Production’s new model scout show- ‘The Model Agent’, Animo’s ‘Anonymous’ with Amanda Byram and ‘Ballet Chancers’, Double Z’s – ‘Zig and Zag’ (Christmas special), Street Monkey’s Green Screen Shoot, viral advertising for Cashmere Media, The Web Factory photo shoot with Lucy Kennedy, Setanta’s FAI Premiership Stings, Ray Haughton’s Premiership DVD. Other companies to utilise the shoot were Red Pepper Productions, Caboom, Rothco - Aer Lingus, Agtel, Independent Pictures and Windmill Lane.
The Casting Couch also hosted the weekly Beauty Bootcamp sessions for Liz Dwyer of Image Magazine and shot covers for TV Now, Kiss and various editorials. Ad agencies focus groups ran three times a week while casting for Hubbard Casting for new feature ‘The 5th Beatle’, and wardrobe fittings for low budget feature ‘Shelter’ took place. PR Launches included L'Oreal and Smashbox and company away days (on behalf of Drury Communications).
Half day rates at the venue run from €250 to full day rates from €400 (plus VAT). The rates include studio with all backdrops including chroma key, exclusive use of entire venue with green room, hair and make up, fully stocked kitchen, complementary beverages, snacks and breakfast and an assistant on hand throughout the day.
